Australian Fruitgrower is the new premier technical publication for apples, pears and the summerfruit industry.
The former Summerfruit Australian Quarterly has been absorbed into Australian Fruitgrower which is produced by Australian Apple and Pear Ltd (APAL).
Stuart Gray is Chair of the Editorial Committee (cm@apal.org.au), John Fitzimmons is Editor (editor@apal.org.au), Dr Gordon Brown is Technical Editor for apples and pears (editor@apal.org.au) and Adjunct Professor Barry McGlasson is Technical Editor for summerfruit (b.mcglasson@uws.edu.au).
There are 11 monthly issues (except January) of Australian Fruitgrower per year.
Summerfruit growers are encouraged to write to Barry McGlasson about issues of importance to the industry. Growers are the eyes and ears of the industry and they are the best people to advise the publishers about the technical information they wish to see published in this journal. Growers can also call Barry at 02 4570 1318 or 0412 655 045 or address a letter to Barry at the University of Western Sydney, Centre for Plant and Food Science, Locked Bag 1797, Penrith South DC, NSW 1797, Australia.
Deadlines for sending articles to Barry for publication are the first week of each month prior to the month of publication. The actual dates are shown on page 3 of each edition of the Australian Fruitgrower.
